Daniel Lovato, 68, resident of Dixon, New Mexico passed away suddenly on October 8, 2020.
He was born on November 9, 1951 in Embudo, New Mexico to Emilia (Sanchez) Lovato and Alberto Lovato. Daniel is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Nelson Lovato, sister Elisa Salazar (William), nephew Jose Lovato, niece Nellie Lovato, and great nephew Gabriel Salazar.
He is survived by his brother Alberto Lovato and sister Vidalita Lovato, his three son’s Daniel M. Lovato, Porfirio Lovato, and Fernando (Darlene) Lovato, and daughter Marlene Lovato. Daniel is also survived by his ex-wife and friend Kathy Lovato. He was a proud grandfather to Ashlee (Joseph) Lopez, Celayell Evans-Lovato, Breanna Lovato, Melanie Lovato, Lorenzo Trujillo and Dominic Lovato. In addition,he is survived by his special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Daniel is also survived by many close friends and relatives.
Daniel Lovato was a heavy equipment mechanic and auto mechanic. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.
Visitation for Daniel will be held at the Rivera Funeral Home in Espanola, NM on Tuesday, October 13 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in Dixon, NM. Pallbearers: Porfirio Lovato, Fernando Lovato, Florentino Montano, Epimenio Herrera, Duane Atencio, and Henry Atencio. Honorary Pallbearers: All of his grandchildren (Ashlee, Celayell, Breanna, Melanie, Lorenzo, and Dominic).
The family would like to send their sincerest gratitude to Danielle and Jennifer, and staff at Dollar General in Alcalde, NM for their kindness and help with the sudden passing of Daniel Lovato.

MY UNCLE DANIEL LOVATO WAS AN AWESOME PERSON..I remember when he took me and my brother fishing... It was the best we used grass hoppers for bait..He was very loving and kind to me and my wife and family..I will always have great memories of my visits with him..I loved when he had horses and he would try to put me on them to ride..A lot of fun times..I was very sadden by hearing about his loss...Too you'll always be in my heart..Our condolences from the Lovato Family from Califas to our family in New Mexico...Our thoughts and prayers are with you..
