David Andres Martinez, Jr.

Beloved Son, Grandson, Uncle, Brother Nephew, and Cousin. David A. Martinez Jr. passed away tragically on June 9th, 2019. David was born December 30th, 1993 in Los Alamos, New Mexico he was 25 years old. He was such a beautiful person. It’s hard to have to say goodbye to our dearest Angel. He was born with a visual impairment but that didn’t stop him from accomplishing his goals and the important things in life. Very outgoing, he had so many accomplishments in the life he lived. David had a very helpful hand, it was his passion just to be able to care for people medically, emotionally and physically and to just show love and faith all around. He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, New Mexico with a Nursing Assistant Degree. Although because of visual impairment no places would hire him for a job, that didn’t matter he would go for hours to Volunteer. He appreciated all medical fields because he believed in caring for people with more than just faith. We love you and will miss every little thing about you David. All the memories we have with you we will cherish forever. We hope you’re smiling, snapping away and seeing every little thing in Heaven. David is preceded in death by his Grandmother Susie V. Martinez, Aunts Eloisa M. Martinez, Alicia M. Martinez, Vanessa Leyba, Uncle Felix Martinez, Grandparents Connie and Richard Garcia, Aunt Christina Garcia and Cousins Kurt Michael Neuman Jr., Joey Valdez He is survived by his parents Andrea and Joseph Garcia, David A. Martinez Sr. His Grandparents Pete and Margret Blea, Harry O.Martinez Sr., Juan L. Abeyta Sr., His Brothers Daryl, Mathew, and Christopher Martinez, Sisters Hazel Martinez, Angel and Martina Garcia. Niece and nephew Serenity and Izayah Martinez. Beloved Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins as well. Pallbearers: Joseph Garcia, Martina Garcia, Hazel Martinez, Jonathan Abeyta, Juan L. Abeyta Jr., Edward Ray Manzanares, Daniel Martinez, Jair Garcia, Honorary Pallbearers: David A. Martinez Sr., Daryl L. Martinez, Harry O. Martinez Jr., Angel Garcia, Leli Morales, Omar Garcia, Viktor Andrade Family and public services and viewing to be held on Thursday June 20, 2019, 5:00PM-7:00PM @ La Iglesia Apostolica De Cristo Jesus, County Road-50 Velarde, New Mexico. Funeral will be held Friday June 21, 2019, 10:00am @ Iglesia Apostolica Cemetery (next to Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery) in Velarde, New Mexico. Please join us for food and refreshments (something David loved to do, was eat.) Immediately after Funeral at Club Lumina, 1187 NM-68 Velarde, New Mexico.
