Donald Wakefield

Donald Lee Wakefield went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2008. He has lived in Santa Fe for the past 15 years and was an employee of Santa Fe Trails for 14 of those years. He was a loving husband of Brenda Wakefield for 31 years; loving father of Adam C. Wakefield and wife Desiray and grandson Noah; Joel C. Wakefield and wife Deborah, and grandchildren Aspen, Jaxon and Jacqueline, and youngest son Luke C. Wakefield a Senior at Capital High School. Donald is also survived by his mother Elizabeth, and siblings Bruce, Brenda, Tom, Daryl, Cindy, Tod, Steve, and their respective families. He was greatly loved by his family, church family, co-workers, and his many friends. His joyful presence, his humorous personality, and his love for God will be greatly missed.
A public viewing will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 6-8 p.m., at the Temple Baptist Church, 2103 Yucca St.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, also at Temple Baptist Church.
Burial will follow the service at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.
