Frank Abel Salazar Sr., 77, born and raised in Taos, NM. He went to be with his father in heaven on December 30th, 2021. Preceded in death with his mom, Delia, dad, Eloy, sister, Polly, and brother, Eloy Jr. Frank was first a man of God– he lived to serve, study, and spread the gospel of Christ. He was also a passionate woodcarver - spending countless hours creating sculptures. Many of which he won awards for to include, but not limited to, first place at the Española Valley Arts Festival, and second place at the NM State Fair and Traditional Spanish Market. Frank was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a beautiful marriage with his wife of 48 years, Ofelia Salazar. He was the core of his family - his sons Frank Jr., Amos, Guy (Gina), and daughter Donna. His grandchildren Mandi (Geno), Stefanie, Ricky, Joseph, Eunique, Vince, Josiah, Ivy, Mia, Guy Jr., Cody, Gemini, and Shailo. His great grandchildren, Izaiah, Jerami, Mason, Bryson, and Anthony. His brothers and sisters, Angie Holgerson, Eileen Greiser (Art), Ben Salazar (Bonnie), Eli Salazar (Christine), Toby Salazar (Trudy), and Patty Salazar. Frank was loved by many, near and far, as he impacted each person he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. His loving legacy will go on for ages.
On behalf of the Rivera staff we are extremely heartbroken at the loss of such a great friend and beloved co-worker. He was truly loved by all of us and we will miss him dearly. Your Rivera family.

My deepest sympathy to Ofelia,
Guy, Donna, Frank Jr. and Amos and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
35 years I had known this man I call my father-in-law Frank A. Salazar my husband Guy F. Salazar's father.
The man I knew has always been devoted to God, kind, loving, pure hearted, hard working, a man with integrity and generous, a Godly man. You walked with God here on earth and spread his gospel and now you are sitting next to our God almighty our Lord and Savior.
If we will follow the Scriptures we will then allow God to order our steps, and this is the testimony of a “good man.” The second attribute is that God delights in the way of the good man.
A man after my own heart.
Love your daughter in law
Gina C. Perfors-Salazar

I love you Uncle Frank. I'll always remember you for the 8 tracks you played in your truck as you drove me, Frankie, & Eli to elementary school early in the mornings. School always made me sick, so the upbeat music always helped. You once let me pick out an outfit at Wackers - & I picked a yellow pair of shorts with a t shirt that matched that had cartoon people having a parade. It meant so much to me. I wish I would have told you. I'll never forget it. I'll never forget you.
Love, Kimmie

Dear Ofelia and the entire family; We think of Frank with heavy hearts and support you all during this time. We believe, as Frank did, that our heavenly father is present and will take care of you. We admired Frank very much and realize what a wonderful role model he was to so many. He took pride in caring for you all, and must have loved you so very much! We are grateful for him in our lives, and will remember him so fondly. Rest in Gods care and grace.
