Gilbert Archuleta

  Gilbert went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Feb. 10 2023. He lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully at his home in La Joya.

  Gilbert was born to Willie and Eriselda Archuleta on August the fourth 1947 in Rowe NM. Gilbert served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Gilbert was a plumber by trade for many years. He enjoyed going for wood up at Rowe Mesa and he always use to say that he found it so peaceful on the Mesa.

  Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Lisa), Nephews (Chris, Michael, Anthony). Gilbert is survived by his longtime companion Yolanda, her daughters, Tina and Esther, who he helped raise, her grandchildren, Lisa, Sara and one very special little boy Joey. Gilbert’s brothers, Tony (Erlinda), Ruben (Duvie), Celestino (Eva), Fidel, sisters Esther (George), Carol (Michael), brother-in-law Joe and his aunt Lorraine, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A service will be held on February 23, 2023 from 11AM to1PM at Rivera Family funeral home 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM.

  Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on March 6, 2023 at 2:30pm.
