Irene Trujillo, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her Santa Fe home on June 6, 2021. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who had a larger than life personality. She loved music, she was a singer, dancer, artist, big hugger, loved to laugh and joke around, a world traveler and lived and loved life to its fullest. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Taught Catechism, Soup Kitchen, other organizations within the Catholic Church, Cursillo, Search for Christian Maturity and Coloniales de Santa Fe. She is preceded in death by husband Eloy, baby Joseph; her parents, Luis and Petrita Fernandez; brother, Luis Fernandez (Julia); sisters: Marina Cordova (Joe), Alice Garcia (Eliseo), and Margarita (infant); brother, Bonifacio (Margie) Fernandez; sister, Agapita Jeantete (Gabriel); brother: Gustavo Fernandez (Teodora); sister, Fabby (Ben) and sister, Margaret; granddaughters Lauren and Ashleigh; in-laws Meliton (Elena), Dolores (Bernabe), Priscilla and David. Irene is survived by her children, Loretta (Steve), Susie (Bernie), Joe (Jennifer), Eleanor (Brad), Rebecca (Michael), Danny (Cat), Tommy (Heather), Mark & David (Donna); grandchildren Mikey, Elijah, Joshua, Nicole, Gabrielle, Jacquelyn, Ravi, Aubrey, Marcus, Keelan, Zierra (grandchildren), Bo & Aurora; Great Grandson Mikey; brother, Robert (Eliza); sister Cecilia; brother in-laws Meliton (Louise), Steven (Diana) and Jake and numerous relatives, friends and extended family. Irene will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Susie and family, so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Your father and her were true to there catholic faith, loving and helping people. They helped me at a low time in my life thru St. John’s ministries. She always had a smile. May God comfort you as you grief your mother.

On behalf of my Mother Carmen, my brothers Lawrence and Michael, myself and our extended family we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was always a very kind and sweet lady to me and my siblings and may she Rest in Peace and we hope you take comfort in knowing she is with your father Eloy. We could not be with you in person to offer our support because our sister, Cathy passed on June 4th, but we are with you spiritually and you are in our prayers. God Bless from your cousin.
