Jefferey Martinez

Jeffrey Steven “Slam” Martinez of Chimayo, New Mexico passed away at hishome on June 20, 2020 at the age of 46.Born February 20, 1974 in Espanola, NM to Agapito Martinez and CatherineBustos.

 Jeffrey was a friendly and kind person to all those around him. He spentmany years making delicious food for people working as a chef and enjoyedfishing, lowrider cars, and watching wrestling. He loved nature and spendingtime with his friends and family. Those around him thought of Jeffrey as a calmand loyal person with a morally good heart and remember him with muchaffection.

Jeffrey is survived by his only daughter Aaliyah Martinez, his close cousinMarvin Martinez of Chimayo, along with his aunt Roselia Archuleta, Celia &Ramon and cousins Carlota, Dwight, Frida, Jonathan, Leon & Shannon, Barbara,Gabie & the rest of the Martinez family; Samuel, Matthew, Joshua, & MosiesArchuleta; Judy, Stephanie & Tania Garcia; Amanda, Bernardo, & FernandoLaurel; the Coriz family from Chimayo; the Sánchez family from Alcalde; Lorettaand Donna Martinez; Efrain Camargo & family from Chicago, IL; his boss andgood friend, Marlyn Martinez along with many other friends and family.Jeffrey is preceded in death by his aunt, who raised him, Dilia Martinez,and his grandparents, Fernandez & Rebecca Martinez and Jose & Rosita Bustos.

Jeffrey’s burial will be at the Chimayo, NM cemetery. He will be dearlymissed by his daughter and his friends and family who will forever carry hismemory in their hearts.
