Jesusita M. Trujillo

May 15th, 1925 - June 18th, 2020

Biography

Jesusita Maria Trujillo, born May 15th, 1925 to June 18th, 2020. Jesusita was lovingly known as “Our Nana”. Nana was born in Monte Aplanado, New Mexico in 1925. She fell in love and married Luis “Our Lupe” on January 10th, 1945. She raised her children, grandchildren and even her great, great-grandchildren. Nana dedicated her life to her family always cooking, cleaning, gardening, nurturing but most of all spoiling them.

Nana and Lupe married at a young age and spent their early years traveling throughout the country in a vintage camper following the fruit crops. After their adventures they eventually settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico and this is the place they chose to raise their family. Nana and Lupe lived a very simple life and their riches were their family and the love they shared. The past 95 years of her life were filled with love laughter and precious memories that will never be forgotten and always cherished. Even though our hearts are deeply saddened we know that she is now dancing with Lupe again.

A Memorial Service will held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm. at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens located at 417 E Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505

Nana....truely a blessing from God. We were your world and you were ours. You tought us the true meaning of life...people, love, honesty, memories, food, and gathering. Our family lives on for and because of you. I will always see you in the butterflies flying around your garden of love. You gave us water, watched us grow, gave us nutrients, the best soil to grow in, and lots of pruning and primping. May your blooms keep blooming thru more children in our family. We were the luckiest family in the world to have you and Lupe raise us and our children. I truely know you are dancing with Lupe up above and resting underneath the apricot tree.

Tamara, you were so awesome always taking care of your nana whether it was making sure she had everything she needed, taking her to her Dr appts, or just out for a ride in your car to laugh, talk, share memories she cherished till she went to be with God and her husband. Be proud of all you did for her. Love you my friend

Our condolences to the Ortiz and extended Trujillo families. Aunt Susie was such an awesome woman and I know she is with you during this difficult time. May our Lord keep and comfort you with the grace of his love during this difficult time. She might be gone from this world but in our memories she will live forever. Love and may God bless you and us all always.

Our Dearest Nana, life will not be the same without you. You loved us and we loved you with all our hearts. You spoiled us from the first generation all the way to your great, great grandchildren. We cherish you and Lupe and all of the memories that you left us. The songs you sang and the funny things you said. Our hearts hurt, but it gives me peace knowing that you will finally be with Lupe again. I love the fact that my children are old enough to have memories with you as we have been blessed with. You truly have a pure soul. Thank you for all that you have done for us. I will forever be grateful to my parents for giving us the gift of you and Lupe. We love you with the deepest love imaginable. Rest in Paradise Nana!
