Biography


Jose Willie Pacheco, 88 went home to be with his creator on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1934, in Ojo Sarco, NM to Jose Onesimo Pacheco Sr. and Evanjelina Armijo Pacheco. He worked in the State of Wyoming until retirement. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and then worked the remainder of his career in the Coal Mine in Kemmerer, Wyoming.


He married the love of his life Cora Rodriguez Pacheco from Rio Lucio, New Mexico and they made their home in Wyoming where they raised their family.


He is survived by his children, Earl Marvin Pacheco (Evanston, WY), Christopher Dale Pacheco (Rociada, NM), Jeannie Veronica Pacheco (Logan, UT), companion/friend Rafaelita Medina (Llano, NM), his sisters Irene P. Fernandez [Jose Abel], (Ojo Sarco, NM), Helen P. Martinez [Amado] (Chimayo, NM), and brother Larry Pacheco [Margie] (Espanola), his sister-in-laws Geneve Santillanes [Phil] (ABQ, NM), Kathy Mendoza [Frankie] (Demings, NM), Eva Martin [Ed] (ABQ, NM), Stella Espiritu [Ted]. His Dearest friends Jerome and Thorma Barrette (Diamondville, WY) and John West (Rociada, NM). Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and other friends. 


He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cora R. Pacheco, his son's William Thaddeus Pacheco Jr., and Joseph Pacheco, his parents, Jose Onesimo Pacheco Sr., and Evangelina Armijo Pacheco, Father-in-law Fedelino Rodriguez and mother-in-law Emelina R. Rodriguez, sisters Lydia P. Fernandez [Porfirio], Sadie Pacheco, Rosarito Pacheco, and Dorothy Pacheco, brohter's Jose Onesimo L. Pacheco Jr., Jose Robert Pacheco [Veronica], brother-in-laws Jose Abel Fernandez [Irene], Amado C. Martinez [Helen], Frankie Mendoza [Kathy], Larry Padilla [Lillian], Ted Martin [Eva], sister-in-laws Lillian Padilla [Larry], Veronica Pacheco [Jose Robert].


A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12:00 noon, followed by the Most Holy Rosary at 1:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Chimayo, NM. Intermenet will take place at Kemmerer Cemetery, Kemmerer, Wyoming at a future date.

Honorary pallbearers: Hermanos de la Cofradia de la Santisima Trinidad de Santa Cruz, NM. y Hermanos de las Cofradias de Nuestro Padre Jesus de Nasareno.
