Robin Lopez published a tribute .

To the Chavez Family, and my Cous Cousins , Victor, Mike, Vivian, You probably don’t remember me because it’s been a while since I’ve made it down that way. We used to go see Aunt Pas with my parents as kids, and then a few after I got married. I’m so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I always enjoyed talking with him in the few times I was there with him and your Mom. I remember going to feed his horses with him a few times, he sure loved his horses. When I worked at Sears here in Denver, we had a few conversations about our jobs that we had in common. Your Dad was just an easy man to talk to, I always enjoyed our visits out there with your family. I’m so sorry we can’t make the trip for his services, but please know we are thinking about all of you. Along with our condolences, we are sending our thoughts and prayers to your family.
