Mrs. Menzel and Family:
We are so sorry to hear of Joseph’s passing. We and all of our neighbors will miss his presence and kind words when he and Mary would travel up and down Pine Street, either walking, on the tandem bicycle, or later the motorized chair. I would often be doing some mechanical work on one of our numerous old cars in the driveway, and Joseph would always check in to see what was up and put in a good word. Always a kind word to say, and we enjoyed his visits. Genuine, kind and sweet people make such a difference to all of us throughout life, and Joseph will be missed by many, especially his neighbors.
Love and Respect from Louis & Ruth Schulte
