Biography

Julie Denise Hodge

Our Beloved Julie Denise Hodge went to her eternal home with Jesus on August 31, 2022 after a 19 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and its complications.  She was with us for 44 years shared her beauty and artistic talents with painting, sculpting, and writing poetry.  With many tattoos throughout her body as the canvas she told a story in each one.   She will be remembered for her jokes, perseverance, strength and love.   Julie loved many deeply, most especially her son Joseph.

She loved the outdoors especially fishing and her hobby was collecting salt shakers of which she had over 300 sets.   The raiders were her favorite NFL team and as a fan she has a large raiders collection of memorabilia.     When able she worked as a caregiver, dancer, and was known as jewel doll in her charity endeavors with the dolls in Albuquerque.  Most of her life she resided in Albuquerque.  The last 17 months she resided in Pecos under the care of her mom, brother, and caregiver’s Carol, Florence, and Jennifer who were exceptional and whose care was healing and a remarkable gift to her.  We are deeply grateful to all her caregivers, family, and St Anthony parish Father Chike who supported her.  She will be greatly missed and always in our loving memory.
