Les E. Templeton, 59, of Los Alamos died July 31, 2019. Les was born on August 15, 1959 in Odessa, TX. to Gene and Dorothy Gene ("D.G") Templeton. Les was preceded in death by his father Gene and is survived by his mother D.G. and older brother Lance (Marian) Templeton of Alexandria LA, daughter Amber of Oklahoma City, son Bryce of Los Alamos, ex-wife Linda (Hand) of Los Alamos, as well as numerous close personal and professional friends.
Les was an accomplished athlete and attended Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, CA. He attended college at Texas A&M where he began his journey in architectural design and construction. Les married Linda Heeg in 1986 and they had two kids, Amber and Bryce, together. They moved to Los Alamos in 1993 where Les began sharing his remarkable architectural and construction talents. Since then Les built numerous beautiful and uniquely designed homes while providing jobs to many employees and contractors in Los Alamos and the surrounding area. Les had a true gift for designing homes to beautifully and naturally fit the land upon which they were built while ensuring it could be constructed as affordably as possible. Les did his very best to share his talents and gifts for the benefit of others.
Les was an avid outdoorsman and many of his favorite memories and stories involve the numerous camping, fishing, and hunting trips he went on with his family and friends. Les' warmth, helpfulness, friendliness and his bigger than life personality will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday August 10th, 2019 at Crossroads Church located at 97 East Road in Los Alamos, NM. Memorial gifts in honor of Les' memory can be made to the Les Templeton Memorial Fund care of Amber Templeton at New Mexico Bank and Trust. Please see social media for online donation options. The fund will be distributed towards a residential design scholarship and towards the triangle club in Los Alamos.

I grew up as kid knowing the Templeton family they attended the same church as I did in San Diego. Les was in the same grade as my older sister Debbie and my older sister Lauri dated Lance. This just a shock to me. I am sorry for your loss. Les was nicest guy

Les had the most contagious spirit. He lifted mine when I thought I was already happy. He always spoke kindly of his family. He was a very generous man. He became a big part of my life. His family is in my heart and my prayers. I loved Led so easily. I will surely miss him
