Biography


Lucio Duran, 58, of Arroyo Seco, New Mexico, passed away on November 19, 2019 after years of a chronic illness.  Lucio is preceded in death by his parents, Lucio and Polly Duran along with his brother, Bonifacio Duran (Bonnie), sister, Priscilla Ortiz (Gerald) and nephews, Mark and Michael Duran. He is survived by his loving wife, Olympia Garcia and his daughter and son in law, Angela and Billy Romero, his step children, Shannon and Marcos Struck, grandchildren, Billy & Amadeo Romero, Isabela & Marissa Martinez and Miquela Struck, in laws, Abe & Grace Garcia and sister in law, Lina Garcia (Gerald), brother, Michael Duran (Rebecca) and sister, Darlene (Phil) Lucero, beloved nieces, Christina Montez (Ronald), Cheryl Lucero (Jimmy), many other nieces, and nephews.


Evening Rosary will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Parish.  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish.  Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.  To share a memory, please visit our website at www.riverafuneralhome.com

Lucio was a classmate of mine from THS Class of 1979. I remember Lucio being a kind and respectful classmate. I’m grateful to know he was a good friend of my own beloved father. Lucio will always be remembered as a hard working loving family man.
