Macario was a beautiful soul that thrived for new adventures. He went wherever the road took him. Since he was young, he had a love for music and for meeting new people. He was an experienced drummer and played every chance he got. He treated his close friends as family and had the ability to connect with just about everyone. With his outgoing personality, Macario could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, as he befriended them instantly. He had a lifelong dream of riding motorcycles. His love for riding motorcycles led him to be inducted into the Gorillas Motorcycle Club out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had a passion for helping others that led him into the medical field. He was a CMA recently with Devita Medical Group and for many years prior to that, at the Questa Medical Clinic. He restfully joins in eternity: Paternal side; Grandmother:Fedelina Vigil, his Uncle Floyd Ortega, Cousins: Johnny Gomez, Vincent Archuleta, Melissa Woods, Joaquin Chavarria and John Herrera. Maternal side; Many special relatives. He leaves behind his loving Fiance, Melanie Griego-Lopez and their beloved “Baretta”, his beautiful children; Kianna Vigil, Alvida Vigil, Amberlee Lujan, and Jonathan Martinez. His loving sister Princess Castillejas (Lalo); Nephews: Elliott Herrera, Ethan Herrera, Julian Castillejas, Damian Castillejas. His loving mother and step-father Ruth Lewis (Brett Lewis) Maternal side: several aunts, uncles and cousins. His loving father Joe Vigil Paternal side: Uncle: Gilbert Vigil, Aunts: Rose Ortega (Armando), Charline Chavarria, Roxanne Ortega, Bertha Ortega, Sylvia Sandoval. And many special cousins. He is also survived by many special friends. Eulogy to be delivered by Marvin Archuleta. Pallbearers Dillan Azure, Angelo Vigil, Adam Gallegos, Juan Archuleta, Teddy Archuleta, Ian Weahkee. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Macario. I did not know “Mac” as I live over a thousand miles away but I felt like I knew him through one of his close friends. Joe, I am so very sorry for your hito’s passing. Macario is such a wonderful person with a big heart. I will pray for you always Joe. May GOD embrace you in his loving arms and bring peace and comfort in this very difficult time. I hope you find comfort in knowing one day you will meet up with your son again. Always know he loved you with all his heart and he knew you loved him. You are such a great dad to him as he was a wonderful son to you.
