Biography


Manuel Eligio Rivera, 91, a resident of Los Alamos passed away on November 22, 2018.


He was born December 10, 1927 to Ramonsita Gonzales. Mr. Rivera graduated from New Mexico Highlands University and started working for the Los Alamos National Laboratory.


He was an Elks member. He was also an avid skier and golfer and had a black belt in Tao Quan Do.


He is survived by his wife Mary Rivera, son Manuel A. Rivera, grandson Manuel J. Rivera, sister, Mary C de Baca, sisters-in-law Alice Thompson and Agnus Rivera; sister-in-law, Aurelia Livingston; niece Louise C D de Baca and nephew Michael Gonzales.


A Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Alamos followed by a reception. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donation may be directed to the charity of your choice.
