Other History
Born at Embudo Hospital in Dixon, Mary grew up in Truchas, NM where she became a member of the Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church. Mary moved for health reasons at an early age to Santa Fe and she lived with her aunt and uncle. At 16 she married Ramon Bermudez and they moved to Colorado for work. In the late 1970s Mary returned to New Mexico where she worked for Rio Arriba County and Furr’s Cafeteria before she moved to Santa Fe. Mary’s love for her children, grandchildren, family and friends was clear and she enjoyed her visits with family. As guests left her home, Mary sent them on their way with “God Bless You”.
Services
At Mary’s request, graveside services will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Los Llanitos Cemetery, Truchas, NM. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines and be masked and keep social distance.

I was probably in mid-high when I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Bermudez. She worked with my father Ernesto Atencio at the Rio Arriba County office. She was a sweet lady that always treated me so kindly. May she RIP.

my condolences to all of Mary's family and friends! I had the pleasure of working with Mary at the County of Rio Arriba and simply adored her! I often wondered what had happened to my friend Mary all these years! She will be missrd by many people who knew her, God's blessings to Mary and her family!

I also worked with Mary back when we worked I believe at the Rio Arriba co compound or maybe at the clerks cant quite remember but I do remember how kind she was. And such a beautiful person
