Biography


Melvin M Salazar, 65, of Cerro, New Mexico passed at home on July 10, 2021 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole, parents, Ruben and Jessie Salazar and brothers, Willie D. Salazar and Frankie Salazar.  Melvin is survived by his son, Ruben Salazar, his siblings, Evelyn (Dan) Quintana, Carl (Rosemary) Salazar, Elva Sanchez, Florence (Howard) Atchley, Annabelle Torres, Jimmy (Vickie) Salazar, Gloria Chandler, Edna (Kelly) Mascareñas, Wilma Martinez (George) many nieces, nephews and relatives.


Viewing will be held on Friday, July 16th from 3 to 6 PM at Rivera Funeral Home in Taos, NM. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 17th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cerro, NM with interment to follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
