Raymond “Ramon” Gilberto Lujan 89 years of age went to be with our lord on January 01, 2021. Raymond was born to his loving parents Ignacio and Delfinia Lujan in Santa Cruz, New Mexico on June 03, 1931.
Ramon married the love of his life Isabel on April 23, 1970 in Santa Cruz, New Mexico. The tw enjoyed a beautiful life together. Ramon has 7 children, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Ramon retired after 20 years of working for the State of New Mexico working as a heavy equipment operator. He also served his country by joining the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Ramon was also involved with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Organization.
Raymond had a great love of the outdoors. He enjoyed going camping, fishing and hunting. He always enjoyed going on road trips. He loved to spend his time at home gardening. One of the things he enjoyed most was spending time with family. Especially his kids and Grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ramon is survived by his wife Isabel Lujan, sister Isabel Rodriguez, daughter Carmen Cordova (Leonard), son Ray Lujan (Alison), daughter Yvonne Garcia, son Leonard Lujan (Annitte), son Albertray Lujan (Tanisha), his daughter Shirley Portillo (Mike), and many nieces and nephews.
Ramon is proceeded in death by his father Ignacio Lujan, mother Delfinia Lujan, son Ignacio Lujan, brother Juan Lujan, sister Helen Montoya, sister Sophia Manzanares, brother Frank Lujan, and great grandson William (Billy) Brittain.
Serving the Lujan Family as pallbearers are Leonard C Cordova, Josh Lujan, A.J. Lujan, Tomas Garcia, JohnRay Tafoya, Jacob Portillo, Michael Lujan and also honorary pallbearers Cindy Brittain, Jasmine Clay, Ariel Lujan, Ariana Lujan, Isabella Tafoya, Kristin Lujan, Angelique Garcia.
Services to be as follows:
Saturday, May 15, 2021- Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz: Rosary at 1030, Mass to follow, Burial to follow Mass and to include the burial of Raymond's sister.
