Rosina O. Medrano
It is with great sorrow that the family of Rosina O. Medrano announces her passing at the age of 89. Rosina, with her great faith and trust was taken peacefully by an angel on Sunday, June 12 2022, while surrounded by her family in her home. Rosina was very patient and courageous while battling her illness. She was a very faithful and lifelong parishioner of Cristo Rey Church. She volunteered her time at Cristo Rey Church, Casa Real, Schools and helping others. She donated money to many causes that were dear to her. Her family will miss her dearly and will always remember her beautiful smile.
Rosina was preceded in death by her husband Joe C Medrano, her son Adrian, her father Jose Dolorez Ortiz, her mother Leocadia Ortiz, her sisters Delia Marquez, Angie Barela, Erlinda Sanchez, Virginia Ortiz and her brothers Robert Ortiz and Rudy Ortiz, and her son-in-law Patrick Sanchez.
Rosina is survived by her daughters, Liz Armijo, Cecilia Medrano (Pascual), Josephine Medrano, Laura Sanchez, and her son James Medrano. Her grandchildren, Pascual Hernandez (Alma), Diana Armijo (Tyler), Francisco Hernandez, Gabriella Olguin, and Adriana Sanchez. Her great grandson Damian Aragon, who all loved and cared for her throughout her illness.
She had many family members who cherished her life and will celebrate her memory with us including her brothers Ramon (Susan) Ortiz, and Benny (Mary) Ortiz, her brother in-laws Tony Barela and John Sanchez, and sister in-laws Josie Ortiz and Helen Ortiz. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be remembered for her strength, courage, and faith throughout her lifetime.
Thank you Tina Gurule, Nurse Jeanie, Nurse Juan, Jazmine, and Corrine for all your care and support for our mom, Rosina and our family.
A rosary will take place on Wednesday, June 29, at 11:30am and will be followed by a mass on Wednesday, June 29, at 12:00 noon at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Burial will be at 2:00pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery following the mass.

Mom, you are in heaven now with your husband Joe, my dad. He has been patiently waiting for you, and was always protecting you as your angel. He saw that his daughters and son were taking care of you, and he waited until you were ready to be in heaven with him.
