Rosita Lopez Deherrera

Rosita Lopez De Herrera – Age 86 a lifelong resident of Chamita passed away on, Wednesday, September 21, 2005 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elena Rodriguez Lopez and father, Benigno Lopez; her husband, Alberto De Herrera; a grandson raised by her, Tomas Rodriguez; her sister, Adelita Lovato and her husband, Rafael Lovato; brother, Jose G. Lopez and his wife, Olivama Lopez; and 2 great grandchildren: Anjelika Baca and Analysia Padilla. She was a family member of La Sagrada Familia and Union Protectiva Sociedad. She retired as a custodian from the James Rodriguez Elementary School at the age of 73 in 1993. She is survived by her three sons and six daughters: Irene Rodriguez and companion Eddie Vigil, Lydia Wheeler and husband Raymond, Romolo De Herrera and wife Rosita, David De Herrera and wife Marie, Pete De Herrera and wife Roberta, Linda Chavez and husband Paul, Cordie Herrera and husband Donald, June Galvan, Joann DeAguero and husband Arsenio; 32 Rodriguez grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 26 Wheeler grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 18 DeHerrera grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 6 Chavez grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 12 Herrera grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 10 Galvan and Trujillo grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 1 DeAguero grandchild; a very special sister-in-law, Anne Trujillo of Pueblo, Colorado; and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola. Rosary will be recited also on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Terry Brennan and Deacon Eloy Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers: Raymond Wheeler Jr., Ronald, Leonard and Adrian DeHerrera, Albert Herrera and Filbert DeAguero.
