I just saw this and my heart dropped. Miss Shirley was a wonderful, funny, caring individual that I truly loved working with. The first time I met her, while working with Dr. Smith, she shocked the heck out of me with her sense of humor and a comment she made to me.(We will NOT talk about that!!!) But from that moment on I knew it was going be a lot of fun working with her. She was a wonderful nurse and most importantly a wonderful person with a even bigger sense of humor. She definitely will be missed. Sending huge condolences and positive thoughts to her daughters and the rest of her family.

In the very short time I knew Shirley I learned that she loved to watch the deer in her yard, cared a lot about her neighbors, was a passionate Solitaire lover, and that enjoying Happy Meals with her friends was a way she found new joy until the end. She gave good hugs and her daughters were the love of her life. I respect your mother so much for her contribution in nursing, and mostly for her positive attitude, bravery and thoughtful words at all times. It was so admirable to be in the presence of. Thank you for allowing us to care for Shirley!
