Susie was born in Santa Fe on October 22, 1950. She left us to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 22, 2008 after a courageous battle against cancer.
Susie is survived by her husband Danny Payne, children; Warren and Melanie Payne, grandchildren Brittany Martinez and Emery Chacon, her mother Lala Mendonca, sisters; Terry Rivera and husband Albert, Dora Ortiz Sandoval, Frances Baca and husband Gus, and Marian Kuykendall and husband Bill, brothers; Vincente Mendonca, David Mendonca and wife Elaine, Tony Mendonca and wife Jan, Carlos Mendonca and wife Rosemary, brothers-in-law; Leroy Payne and wife Margaret, Neil Payne and wife Lucy, Jack Payne and wife Gloria, Wayne Payne and wife Vita, sister-in-law; Geri Angelmire, uncles; Raymond Vigil and wife Dolores, Henry vigil and wife Grace and Danny Vigil and wife Veronica. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Susie was employed for 22 years with the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
A Rosary will be recited Today, May 28, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at San Isidro Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 29, at 10:00 a.m. at San Isidro Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Kevin Payne, Anthony Rivera, Dominick Rivera, Michael Rivera, Randy Payne and James Sandoval
