William Joseph Cordova 56, resident of Rodarte NM went to be with Our Heavenly father in Heaven on December 26, 2021. He was born to the late Abelino Cordova and late Maclovia Cordova-Fresquez (step father Anelmo Fresquez). William is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tranquilino Cordova Sr and Sofia A. Cordova maternal grandparents Jose Victor Cordova and Eloisa Cordova, brothers, Robert Cordova Sr., Victor Cordova Sr. and Jeffery Cordova, niece, Cassandra Gallegos, nephew, Brandon Gutierrez and many loving paternal and maternal uncles and aunts. William is survived by his son Aaron Cordova, grandsons, Xavier and Jordan Cordova, sisters, Juanita Cordova Blankensop (Mark), Doris Fernandez (Michael) and Annette Gallegos (Joseph), paternal uncles and aunts Tranquilino Cordova Sr., Roy Cordova (Helen) and Connie Duran, maternal aunts and uncles Paul Abeyta, Vicky Cordova, Rosana Abeyta (Johnny) and Dina Duran (Robert) and many nieces, nephews, family, friends and RaeAnn Curry and Ayden Jeremiah Martinez who resided with him and his favorite pet Krissy.
William was a member of the Carson National Forest, Camino Real Ranger District a 20 person crew that was sent throughout the United States to fight forest fires. He was a squad boss, on a regular crew you have a crew boss and two squad bosses. He was a Squad boss for 10 other firefighters and ensured that they would do their job properly and ensure they didn’t get hurt.
Pallbearers are Robert Rodriguez, Mark Blankensop, Victor Cordova, David Trujillo, Christopher Cordova, and Phillip Cordova. Honorary Pallbearers are Ayden Jeremiah Martinez, Jeremy Jeffery Garcia, Cassandra Cordova, Lane William Garcia, Jordon Cordova, Albert Lucero, Xavier Cordova, Aaron Dominguez, Valerie Corrales Swann and Clovis Velarde.

Juanita sorry for your loss…. I’m Sophie I was good friends with Roberto & Chopo used hang out with Gloria hope you remember…. All the hand lol who is still here still miss your brothers Roberto & Chopo ….now those two left all of us heart broken…anyways I really didn’t know Billy all that well but. Hello, I just found out Billy passed away, he was my best friend for many years. Eric, Randy, Billy and I had lots of good times in our early years. I think of them often. I remember your family treaded me with kindness and respect. I enjoyed seeing him when I would stop by, even if it was just to say hi. I will miss my brother. Condolences to the Cordova family. Juanita condolences for your loss. I remember Billy when he was just a boy when we would go visit Abelino & Maclovia years ago. All the boys Bobby, Victor, Chopo & Billy that seems so many years ago. The boys always wrestling You & Doris helping Maclovia with whatever she was whipping up. So many years ago but you still have Doris I pray for you and her that you get through this . I will pray and light a candle for Billy.
