Michele Mills Poling, age 71, passed away on July 31, 2019 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where she has been a long time resident. She was born January 12, 1948 in Lorain, Ohio. Survived by mother, Betty Mills, of Sun City, Arizona. Father, William Mills, preceded her in death.
Michele was retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory after working there for over thirty years. She was a graduate of Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio.
As a child, Michele had a horse. She could ride all day if she wanted to. She loved animals and always had a dog or two.
Michele will be missed for cheery smile and funny anecdotes.

I became acquainted with Michele when I worked for a contractor working on her projects for the lab. We'd meet for coffee or tea after her retirement and chat. She was very, very intelligent and always interesting. She was good-hearted and often very funny. We had some good laughs. I was shocked and saddened to hear that she had died.. I will miss Michele.
