Arthur L. Lopez

On November 17, 2015 our beloved Arthur, age 72 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of 49 years; his daughters, Anna Lopez (Arjuna Somaru), Trish and husband Tim Johnson and Maya Lopez; his grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor Johnson; his sisters MaryAnn Garcia and Rosalie Valdez (Frank); brothers Tony Lopez, Mike Lopez (Chris) and Pat Lopez (Monica). He is also survived by his beloved mother-in-law Sally Barela and her family, many nieces and nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his father Joe A. Lopez and his mother Marie LaFollette Lopez and older brother Joe Lopez. Arthur was the owner and President of Lopez Roofing Service, Inc. for 44 years and attributes his success to his loyal and talented employees and customers. Arthur supported many organizations that benefited our community. Some of his favorite charities were Horses for Heroes, Habitat for Humanity, The Cancer Foundation of New Mexico as well as the New Mexico Adoption Exchange. We lost the light and laughter of our life and a special friend that so many treasured. We will celebrate his life and legacy starting on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church for the rosary. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi at 12: 00 noon.
