Elizabeth B Kemp, Arroyo Seco, New Mexico, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away in Taos, New Mexico on September 11, 2008 at the age of 88 after a period of failing health.

Betty was born in Pueblo, Colorado and volunteered for the American Red Cross during World War II in the South Pacific. She held several degrees and was always an advocate of education and learning and has volunteered at several libraries.

Betty leaves behind her daughter, Laura LaFlamme, with whom she lived for the past three years in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico and her son, John Kemp, of Irvine, California. She also leaves three grandchildren, Jennifer Bard of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Meghan and Michael Kemp of Irvine, California.
