They welcomed a daughter to the family in 1958. In 1964 Richard and Louise took a vacation to Taos NM. They fell in love with the area and bought a second home in Arroyo Seco. In 1979 they retired to their dream lives in Arroyo Seco gardening, raising sheep and horses and feeding the wild birds. Richard was a banker, an animal lover, a published author, a mountain climber, a horseman, a tango dancer and a devoted husband and father to his children and many 'adopted' friends and neighbors.  He is survived by his children, Michael, Christopher (Christine), Timothy and Kathleen.
