Chavez-Hoover Tanya

Tanya M. Chavez-Hoover, age 43 a resident of Penasco passed away on February 6, 2018 due to complications from Mutliple Sclorosis.

Tanya was born in Springer, NM. on October 16, 1974 to Antonio and Gloria Chavez. She met and later married Matthew Hoover and they had 5 children, Marisa, Sebastian, Christian, Madilyn and Baby Madyson Jane. They enjoyed their life raising their children in Penasco. Attending concerts, fund raisers and community events as well as family gatherings and camping. She loved music and she enjoyed cooking many meals for her family and friends. She was a very generous person always willing to help anyone at any time.

She is preceded in the death by her baby girl Madyson Jane, Father Antonio Chavez, brother Tony Chavez, Paternal Grandparents: Antonio & Celina (Sandoval) Chavez, Maternal Grandparents: Olmedo F. & Frances (Vigil) Ramirez, Godparents: Manuel & Angie Sisneros and In laws: Larry, Mary Jane, and Jessica Hoover.

Tanya is survived by her husband, Matthew Hoover and her young children Christian and Madilyn, Marisa (Jose) & children: Sonya, Jerome, Jeremiah and Joseph, Son: Sebastian (Carol). Mother: Gloria Ramirez, Sisters: Roxanne Smith (Gabriel), Andrea Armenia (Jose), Nicole Chavez (Randy), Farrah Chavez. Brother: Adam Chavez (Chassidy) Nieces and Nephews: Chelsea, Brandon,Caitlin, Cailee, Catalina, Katrina (Britney), DeAndra, Michael, Brandi (Marcus), Savannah, and Aliyah. Special Uncle & Aunt Leandro & Nancy Lopez, Sister in law: Melissa Hoover-Fresquez (Dean) God Daughter/Niece: Anastacia “Tasha” Garcia (Cris) Niece & Nephew: Anikka (AnnaMaria) and Joey (Kathy) children: Jazmeen, Isabella, Jeffrey, and Jessica

A Rosary will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:30 am at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, Penasco, NM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date.

A reception will be held at the Parish Hall following services.
