George J. Dominguez

George Jacobo Dominguez, 88 of Chamizal and Taos NM, born 1926. George or Gito passed into heaven on the morning of June 21, 2014. He joins his mother and father; Jose Ines and Virginia Dominguez who have long been waiting for him. As well as his many brothers and sisters; Anita and Bernabe Chavez, Anita and Jose Amado Dominguez, Pablita Polly Dominguez Stover, Isaac Dominguez, Enrique Dominguez, and Fermilia Phyllis Dominguez-Wood. Along with his longtime friend Rafalita Gonzalez

He will be greatly missed by his last surviving sister Carmen Dominguez-Holt who has taken care of George these last years. Other family members survive him are Dolores and Gilbert Cano and family, Virginia and Jerry Laughlin and family. Nedra Chavez Brenan and family, Carmela Dominguez and family, Carlota and Enrique LaMadrid and family, Cherise and John DeFlice and family, Carmen and Bill Layden and family, Ron and Arno Dominquez and family, and Barbara and William MacPherson and family and Carmen and Harold Holt and family

George will forever be remembered as the happy, smiling, loving and hardworking soul. George could be seen his whole life walking all over Taos, as he never learned to drive. We know he must of walked a million miles in his lifetime. All the family always commented on how George knew everyone. There was not a soul who was not taken in by his innocent and loving way. He had friends all over New Mexico and beyond. He was a loving brother, a faithful Christian, and a true loving heart of our Lord. We all will miss our Tio Gito.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10 AM at the Ranchos De Taos Presbyterian Church, 1 San Francisco Rd, Ranchos de Taos. Private burial will be at a later date.
