Our beloved Abie Vigil 79, from Pecos, NM passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January19, 2024.
He was born on February 21, 1944 in Pecos, NM and is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Eloisa Vigil, his sisters Julia, Vicky, Ida, Polly, Rosina and brothers Sam, Steve and Albert, compadre Freddie Vigil, and God daughter Tina Jaramillo Piper.
Abie is survived by his wife Angela Vigil of 57 years of marriage and children Christopher and Cynthia Vigil, grandchildren Shane and Michele Vigil, God children Vivian Vigil, Michael Erik Alvarado, Jared Vigil, and brother Eppie Vigil, compadre’s Joe Henry Jaramillo, Eddie and Edwina Vigil, Annalee Peterson,,Maryann Vigil and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are: Christopher Vigil, Jared Vigil, Frank Vigil, Sandy Vigil, Larry Espinoza, and Jarel Ortiz.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 2nd at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Pecos, NM, viewing beginning at 9:30 am, rosary at 10:00 am, and the mass to follow at 11:00 am and the burial at 12:00pm at Pecos Cemetery.

My heart breaks for my Nina and my cousins. My nino was such a good man, I have so many great memories from my childhood with all of them. Especially my Nino who spoiled m so much. Have lots of fun up in heaven Nino, I know you are smiling and doing shots with my dad and my daughter
