Amy Towles, 58, of Chimayo went home to be with the Lord on June 20th, 2022. Amy was born April 30th,1964 in Santa Anna, California to parents Wilbur and Elma Fernandez. Amy was married January 26th, 1985 to Adam for a wonderful 37 years. Amy ran a day care for 21 years, she loved taking care of the children. Amy loved her hobbies of crocheting, painting, sewing, baking and praising the Lord. She would try to learn as much as possible about God. Amy loved to go shopping, however most dear to her heart was the time spent with her grandkids. Amy was a beautiful, strong, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Amy is preceded in death by her Father Wilbur Fernandez and Mother Elma Fernandez. Amy is survived by Husband, Adam Towles Sr., Son Adam Towles Jr and wife Samantha Towles, Daughter DeAnna Ortiz and husband Johnathon Ortiz, Grandchildren Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Deven, John Paul, Carlito Jose, Justice, Angel and Audreyanna, Sister Sharron Quintero and husband Jimmy Quintero, Brother Vidal Fernandez and wife Erica, Nieces Kristina and Alexiana, Nephews Vidal Jr. and Joel.
Viewing will be on Wednesday June 29, 2022 beginning at 5pm at Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. Services will be on Thursday June 30, 2022 at 10am at Chimayo Light House Church. Burial to follow at the Chimayo Lighthouse Cemetery.
Pallbearer’s: Johnathon Ortiz, Nathaniel Ortiz, Jeremiah Montoya, Ricky Lopez II, Amadeo Gurule, Nehemiah Gurule, Steve Sena and Daniel Towles.

Our Sincerest Heartfelt Condolences to the Adam and families of Amy Fernandez Towels.
Amy was such a beautiful soul with a smile that could light up a room. Such a huge heart, caring and loving heart. We still remember her mama Mrs. Alma Fernandez our Teacher in High School, who was such a kind and gentle lovely lady. Amy was the same beautiful Essences of her Mama that carried a Heart of gold.
We remember seeing her at The Light house in Chimayo. She absolutely adored Pastor Kevin and loved the church. We would run into them at the stores or the doctors and we would make beautiful conversation. The one thing I will always remember is Amy always had a big beautiful smile. What ever she may have been going through, her daily walk and her faith in Jesus that kept her motivated and she never gave up.
Thank you Amy for your beautiful friendship you beautiful smile and your loving heart for we will treasure that always.
To the families just remember Amy maybe gone in the flesh but her Spirit lives forever more. Amy will be always be close by, for her love for you all is eternal.
Sweet Amy go rest high now, we're our Saviour awaits that big beautiful smile.

Adam and family, I am so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. She and I were friends since we about 12 years old. We met when she moved here from Las Vegas, NM and got to be good friends right away. We used to giggle alot and sometimes we'd get scolded, but you know, it was all good. We remained friends thru time and even as older adults, we always picked up right where we left off and giggled like little girls. She was a wonderful person and will be sincerely missed.
