Barbara Silva Padilla, age 71, was called home by our heavenly father on Friday, October 15, 2021. Barbara was born in Santa Fe, on September 8, 1950. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe school and Loretto Academy. Barbara was a devout Catholic, strong in her faith. She enjoyed bowling, softball, sewing, cooking for family and friends, throwing parties and celebrating all season and holiday events. Barbara belonged to many clubs and organizations.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis G. Silva, Sr.; baby son, Eugene; brother, Anthony; sister, Mary; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clara and John J. Padilla; brothers-in-law, Felix Martinez and David Padilla; many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
She is survived by her mom Lucy Silva; her husband of 52¾ years Alfred Padilla; her daughter, Antoinette Cunningham; son, Edward Padilla(Marissela); daughter, Bernadette Ramirez; grandchildren, Raelynn, Anton, Chanille, Jeramiah, Kaelyn and Aubreyella; great-grandchild on the way. Her siblings; Louie Silva, Jr; Dianne Martinez; Janette Silva(Calvin); Sharon Chavez(Mike) and Sonya Carrillo. Brothers-in-law, Robert Padilla(Diane); Raymond Padilla(Jacque); Vincent Padilla(Frances), Sisters-in-law, Olivia Espinoza(Harry), Mary Ann Lucero(Herman) and Donna Padilla. Many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 417 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM on Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 6:30pm. A Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10:00am. Burial will be at a later date.
