Biography


Bonifacio Fernandez, 85, of Taos passed away on April 10, 2007. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margarita Q. Fernandez, daughter, Margaret Quintana and infant son, Lawrence Fernandez. He is survived by his children, David Fernandez (Connie) of Taos, Tomas Fernandez (Victoria) of Santa Fe, Cathy Fernandez (Chris Christiansen) of Albuquerque, Albert Fernandez (Patricia) of Santa Cruz and Christopher Fernandez (Cleo) of Des Montes. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren including Elena Fernandez, whom he raised as a daughter, 2 great grandchildren, son in law, Gerald Quintana and a large and close-knit extended family.

Rosaries were recited on April 12, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and on April 13, 2007 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral mass was held on April 14, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment was held at Dolores Cemetery.
