Bruce E. Marier

Bruce Edward Marier of Woodstock, Vermont died of Covid-19 on December 17, 2022 at St.Vincent’s Hospital in Santa Fe. He had traveled from Vermont in late October to visit peopleand places he had come to love during the twelve years he lived in Taos. A superb skier and anintrepid hiker, he loved the Taos mountains. He loved too the many opera and classical musicperformances available in the area. Born on September 8, 1936 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Bruce was educated in Holyoke publicschools, served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from the University of Hartford. His career waswith computer consulting and manufacturing corporations including IBM, Honeywell, and DEC.A second career began when he and two others formed Claret Software in Lebanon, NH anddeveloped Clarifye, a successful PC-oriented wine-management system. Bruce is survived by his wife, Suzanne, of Woodstock, and his niece and nephew, Melanie andKevin Peetz, of Massachusetts.
