Carmen Arceo

Carmen U. Arceo, age 93, a lifelong resident of Cerrillos, NM was called home on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  She retired from the State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. Although she never had a family of her own, she was God mother to many children and inherited many grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family and to serving St. Joseph’s Parish Church of Cerrillos. Carmens faith never wavered, and she prayed her rosary every day. She was very proud of the fact that she had the keys to the church and her own pew. Her lifelong love of her precious chickens gave her much joy throughout her life. Carmen was proceeded in death by her parents Nestor & Dolores Arceo, her siblings Cleto Sr. & (wife) Josephine, Vicente, Hortencia & (husband Victor), Martha, Mary & (husband) Leo and (brother-in-law) Jose. She was survived by her sister Ramona, and (brother-in-law) Javier. She was loved by many friends and family and will always be remembered for love and kindness. A Rosary will be held on November 04, 2023 at 10:00am  followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph's Parish Church in Cerrillos, NM with burial to immediately follow at St. Josephs Cemetery.
