Biography


Carolina Loyola Gonzales, 93, of Ranchos de Taos, NM, passed away on January 19, 2020 in Albuquerque.  Carolina Loyola was born in Ranchos de Taos to Ricardo Quinto and Ursulita (Sanchez) Quinto in 1927.  She married Max Gonzales on 1/29/1945 in Ranchos de Taos.   Carolina Loyola is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Max Gonzales, infant daughter, Bernadette Gonzales and the following Siblings: Lydia Mondragon, Emmie Oakeley, Nasario Quinto, Amalia Rivera, Elba Quinto, Tobias Quinto, and Raymond Quinto, son in-law, Manuel Aguilar.  She is survived and was the loving mother of Isabel Aguilar (Manuel), Geneva Graham (Leroy), Henry Gonzales (Ruth), Erlinda Montoya (Thomas), Patricia Patt, Carla Gonzales-Schwarz (Jonathan), Catherine Collins (Kevin), Dolores Jeantete (Tomas), and Arthur Gonzales (Sonja). She was the loving grandmother to 34 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 18 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Margarita Nicholasa Trujillo of Denver, CO.  She was a beloved member of the Catholic Daughters, League of Sacred Heart, and Girl Scouts of the USA.  She served in many capacities, as service was her life.  


The family of Carolina Loyola wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Presbyterian Hospital and Presbyterian Hospice of Albuquerque, St. Francis of Assisi Church, and the Catholic Daughters court in Ranchos de Taos. Serving as Pallbearers are  Jonathan Schwarz, Kevin Collins, Tomas Jeantete, Brian Patt, Thomas Montoya, and Nathaniel Graham-Marquez.


Rosary and Wake will be held at 6 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos, NM.   Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis  Church.   Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos.  To share a memory, please visit our website at www.riverafuneralhome.com
