Charles (Charlie) Almanzar


March 6, 1970 – April 8, 2024


Charlie went to be with the Lord and reunite with his family on April 8th.


He is preceded in death by his Mother, Rose Ortiz, Father, Manuel Almanzar, Brother, Ron Almanzar, Father-in-law, Natividad Anaya & Nephew, Nathaniel (Nano) Anaya.


He is survived by his life long Soulmate, Tina Anaya, Special Niece (Goddaughter) Melissa Almanzar-Trautman, husband Ben Trautman, Special Nephew (Godson) Xavier (X) Valencia, two children, several half siblings, Mother-in-Law Helen Anaya, Sisters-in-laws, Connie Almanzar, Barbara Valencia, husband Louie Valencia and Beatrice Anaya. Brother-in-laws, Peter Anaya, Jim Anaya. Uncles and Aunts and several Nieces and Nephews.


Many met Charlie while he was employed as General Manager of Denny’s in Santa Fe. He was currently employed at Sandia Casino and had been there for several years. He befriended so many while there. He had a great work ethic and enjoyed joking around with co-workers and anyone he came to know well enough. He loved football (Carolina Panthers), Basketball (Chicago Bulls) & Baseball (Diamondbacks).


He had so many friends, he was a wonderful man that everyone enjoyed being around. He loved dogs, especially his Wolverine, riding, hiking and just having fun.


He will be greatly missed!


Rosary will take Place at Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe.  Wedneday April 24, 2024.  In the Kiva Chapel at 1PM followed by service at 2PM.  Burial to follow at Santa Fe Memorial Garden.
