Charles N. “Chuck” Romero, 36, of Taos Pueblo passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2021. He was a supervisor at the Taos Ski Valley Rental Shop. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Romero, grandmother, Mary Sandoval, nephew, Julian Romero and niece, Martina Gomez. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Romero, sisters, Charmaine, Cheryl and Theresa Romero, many special cousins, many beloved aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, grandmother, Rosarita Romero, many loved relatives and friends.
Private visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Rivera Chapel. Interment will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Taos Pueblo.

I have been skiing at Taos Ski Valley with my wife and two sons every year for well over 16 years. Chuck was always kind enough to spend some time with our family often. A friendship like ours was so unique and special because we became so close and yet only got together once or twice a year. Chuck was the kind of person that we all should strive to be like. Kind, friendly, funny, and caring always looking for the best in people. When we think of Taos , we think of Chuck. We all love Chuck like we love a brother and his memory will be in our hearts forever. Our prayers go out to his family and all the people at the Ski rental shop, they all seem like a big family and I know how much they all love one another. I will miss the great times and fellowship that we shared. Chuck is one of the finest people I have ever met! And I love him like a brother. I’m so grateful that God allowed me the privilege of knowing Chuck! Rest In Peace brother. God bless you.

Charles was in my son’s 3rd grade class when I was a weekly teacher’s helper. I knew Charles as a very sweet and kind boy. He left this world too soon. My prayers for his Mom and family in their heartbreaking loss.
