Biography

With heavy hearts this holiday season we announce Ms. Christine Marie Farrell, 74, of Santa Fe began the next chapter of her journey on November 28, 2021. Christine, or Chris to many, was a wonderful nana to 8 grandchildren, which was a huge part of her life. While most of her work was on college campuses, prior to retirement she was a realtor in Santa Fe. Chris loved gardening, visiting friends and always a good political discussion. She was known for her positive attitude and open spirit. She was a wonderful mother, friend, sister and above all grandmother. She will be missed deeply. Daughters Aimee and Colene welcome any warm words, stories, or pictures be left here in her memory.

Chris always had such a positive attitude about life, even though she had many serious health issues over the years. She was a good example for all of us who were blessed knowing her, and sharing her positive mental attitude.

Her grandchildren brought her the most pleasure, along with discussing current affairs and politics, of course. I will always remember her laugh, and here little sayings like "We'll see what happens"

Chris was a wonderful friend. She
always had such a positive attitude.
I enjoyed our luncheons, sharing books,
talking politics. More than anything we enjoyed sharing grandchildren stories. She loved all her grandchildren dearly. She always had wonderful things to say about them.
Her daughters were so special to her.
Chris had a great sense of humor & was a very smart lady.
I will miss you, my friend.

Chris has been my dearest friend for over 40 years. Our friendship never dwindled even though for most of those years we lived miles apart. I knew Chris was always there for me & she knew I would always be there for her through ups & downs. I will miss you Chris.

Chrissy was an amazing woman.
We shared a fun, playful chilhood together.
I was called "her shadow" because she let me be with her friends and always watched over me.
When I was 5 yrs. old Chris rescued me from an oncoming truck in our
neighborhood while learning to ride a bike.
Our last 3 years were spent together reflecting on our childhood, adolescence, children and grandchildren. She had a generous heart and warm spirit.
I am missing her, and will never forget her.

We have missed Chris sitting at the end of our kitchen table, discussing the most recent political guffaws which was one of her favorite things to do but nothing as dear as talking about her 8 grandkids. Covid took alot of together time from us. On her first trip to see her oncologist, she told him, very matter of factly, that she just wanted to live long enough to vote Trump out of office. He got a big kick out of that. She also loved his critter socks so he would wear them if he knew she was visiting with him. Chris had an incredible sense of humor and a pragmatic view of life. My husband and I have taken up saying "We'll see what happens" in her memory. We love you Chris and will miss you always.
