Biography

Connie V. Garcia, age 70, a resident of Velarde, NM passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2013. She was born on December 30, 1942 and was married to her loving husband of 53 years, Richard W. Garcia.

Connie is preceded in death by her sons Richie Garcia and Raymond Garcia, grandson Albert Garcia and great-grandson Dion Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Garcia, daughters Marcella Garcia (Mario) and Christina Garcia, sons Juan Garcia (Olivia) and Joseph Garcia (Andrea), brother, Joe Valdez (Manuelita), sisters Diana Borroel and Betty Spybuck, brother-in-law Raymond Garcia (Helen), grandchildren: Cruzita (Omar), Rose (Joe), Dalbert, Sabrina, Sebastian, Jace, Brittany Garcia, Reina, Jaymond, Jayden, Angel, Martina, David, Darrel and Hazel, great grandchildren: Jair, Domonic, Dionna, Joseph Jr., Hailey, LaMont, Brianna, and Joshua and many close relatives.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 starting at 6:00pm at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola, followed by a rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Velarde A reception will follow at Club Lumina in Velarde.

Pallbearers: Jaymond, Jayden , Joey, Sebastian, Domonic, and Dalbert.
Honorary Pallbearers: Delancey Street Foundation.
