David Lee Duran went to his heavenly home on April 22, 2022.David was born to Alfonso Duran and Frances Vallejos Duran March 11 in Springer, New Mexico and lived in Taos, New Mexico. David is preceded by his beloved mother, Frances Duran who passed away April 14, 2019, his grandparents, Joe E and Elisia Vallejos, Solomon and Juanita Duran. David is survived by his father, Alfonso Duran, his sisters, Monica Rael (Joe Rael), Juanita Cannon (Keith Cannon), Francine Reyes (Luis A Reyes Jr) and Alice Vallejos (John Torrez), nephews and nieces, Bryan Arellano, Derek Reyes, Armando Reyes, Joanna Hribar, Ariana Reyes, Vanessa Rael, Sterling Cannon, Blair Cannon, Amanda Torrez, Nathen Reyes and Nevaeh Reyes, aunts, uncles and cousins in the Duran and Vallejos families. David’s passions were his cars, his weight lifting and Martial Arts classes. He worked as a security guard for 21 years at High Desert Investigative Services. The last few years of his mother’s life he was faithful in taking care of her. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest with the angels. Your work on earth is done. Memorial service will be held at a future date.

I was shocked to see that David has gone home to be with the Lord. We worked together at Quail Ridge back in the 90s, and he has been so friendly ever since. Taos has lost a special guy.
