David Madison Smith

Biography

DAVID MADISON SMITH

Long time Arroyo Seco resident David Madison Smith went with the angels
early Christmas morning while sleeping peacefully on December 25, 2013. David was born in Los Angeles April 14, 1950. David was survived by his loving wife, Liza Saint George, preceded in death by mother Bebe Blake, survived by his father and step mother Allen and Betti Smith of California, brother Blake Smith of Utah and sisters Samantha Betten and Suzanna Sevilla of California, along with a world filled with friends and loved ones.

David held life in high regard and never missed an opportunity for
adventure. He was able to combine his love of the outdoors with a career
and worked for years in the fishing industry in Alaska. When not working
David enjoyed, skiing, surfing, biking, swimming, hiking and making
memories with friends and family. David had great love of music and spent
many hours planning for and attending countless concerts and music events.
With the help of his dear friends he was able to amass a music collection
that is almost certainly second to none. Upon retirement from fishing
David cheerfully volunteered for the Taos Library where he spent many hours
helping the community.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a warm and loving
soul. In Davids own words may we always remember to Dig Life!

I am truly saddened by this news of David's passing. He was a cousin on my Mother's side who I had only met once when I was living in LA (sometime in mid-60s). What is really unfortunate was there is a Family Reunion planned for this Summer to reunite all the extended Family members who have not seen or spoken others for years. I truly hope Blake, Suzanna and Samantha will still be able to attend. My heartfelt condolences to David's wife and his entire Family.
