David was very loved in his hometown and I pray that his family will take comfort and solace in knowing that he left behind many friends and that he is resting peacefully in the Arms of our Lord Jesus. When Dave awakens, he will be made whole and new, never to know pain or turmoil, sadness nor death. God bless the Salazar family.

Boss and bro Sally - growing up in the hood as kids in school never got old. He stuck it out like a man and always will be. It's always hard in the end but keep faith and muster up that good memory and pray for the Heavenly Father and his son to take your family into his kingdom.

Dave blessed my life. I had a few encounters with him over the years. One was my family and I inviting him to join us in our sushi picnic at santa fe plaza one summer. He said "good stuff man!". Always a pleasure having him around. About one week before his passing I went up to give him a dollar at Cid's and unlike before, we gave each other a huge spontaneous hug. He also gave me a big kiss on the cheek and told me to enjoy my summer. I will never forget it. My friend said in response to this that I had been blessed- I had! Thank you for loving him so much, I could always tell he was loved and it comforted me to know this. Sending lots of love to all of his loved ones, Thank you.

Dear Salazar family our prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. David was a good person, both my daughters knew him and talked often of him. When I lost my youngest daughter David had just gotten back from Santa Fe and he stopped me outside of Walmart to tell that he remembered her and knew who I was from the Taos News articles, that made my day. Every time I met up to David at one of the stores, he always made me smile. Rest in pease David!!! Tammy and family
