Dear Linda,

You problably don't know of me, but I am David's first counsin from his Aunt Josephine Warnock Jones. I was in Independence in September for family reunions and heard of David's illness. Am happy his mother, my Aunt Alta, was able to see him before his passing. David and I used to debate about religion as we were both teenagers. At that time he wanted to become clergy for the RLDS and thought I was wayward to be in the Utah Church. We haven't had much contact within the past several years, but I've always kept up on him and always wanted to visit him, but now, wwe must wait until I get over onto the other side.
David lives and is happy doing the Lord will where he is now. The Lord is taking good care of him and he is not bored at all!
May the Lord bless and comfort you.

Sincerely,

Donna Jones Hessling

Stunned. Unbelieving. How could the last time I spoke with E. David have been the last time? You just never know.

Perhaps, his being "among the stars" is one of the reasons that David and Linda had been on my mind recently. Again, one never knows.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family, particularly Linda and Remi, with whom I share fond memories of the family's time here in Washington.

The whole family and David's friend have my condolences.

Love,
Cecily

What a great loss! I just learned about David's death today - July 11, 2008. I went to Graceland University with David for one year. I've always tried to keep up with all the interesting things he did in his life. Truly an amazing man - so talented and intelligent!! Tho' it is more than 1 1/2 yrs. after his journey on this planet, I am praying for continued peace for his family. May they follow in the large footsteps and examples of a man who has left a wonderful footprint on this earth and all the lives he touched.
