Diana Jurado

March 3rd, 1952 - September 30th, 2023

Biography

Our mother, grandmother & wife Diana, is now in Jesus’ hands. Diana is survived by her husband of 48 years Armando Jurado, daughter Rosella Jurado de Sena (Michael) and son Javier Jurado (Mayra). Diana is also survived by the one thing that brought her the most joy in life, her grandchildren, Sofia & Joaquin Sena, Emiliano & Isabella Jurado. Diana leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends which she always held close to her heart.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Romolo and Maria Carrillo.  Her sisters, Erlinda Maestas, Priscilla Garza, Tonita Payton, Adelaida Rivera, Josephine Ontiveros, & Celina Le Rouge.

Diana was born and raised in Santa Fe NM.  She attended Santa Fe High and left school early to be the primary caretaker for her ailing mother.  She later met and married her husband Armando and together they raised their children and built a business that would last over 30 years.

Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking meals and going to the casino. Most of all, she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, attending their school and sporting events to support and cheer them on. Her family was everything to her. She was so proud of them all. Diana’s greatest memories will be of her supporting her son and following him and his Mariachi wherever they would play. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she quietly touched. Her gift to us will serve as a reminder for all of us to embrace one another, to cherish our loved ones, and to be a friend to all who need one.  Que en paz Descanse.

Serving as Pall Bearers will be her children, Rosella & Javier.  Serving as Honorary Pall Bearers will be her grandchildren Sofia, Joaquin, Emiliano & Isabella.

A rosary will be held at Saint Anne’s Church in Santa Fe on Monday, October 16th at 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am and Interment at Rosario Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Rivera Family Funerals.

Nothing I can say will take away the pain you’re experiencing. Just want you to know that I care about you all, and I share in your sadness. May you look back on the precious memories and find peace in knowing that your mama was an amazing person.

She’s in the Sun, the Wind, the Rain
By Christy Ann Martine

She’s in the sun, the wind, the rain,
she’s in the air you breathe
with every breath you take.
She sings a song of hope and cheer,
there’s no more pain, no more fear.
You’ll see her in the clouds above,
hear her whisper words of love,
you’ll be together before long,
until then, listen for her song.

Auntie Diana… oh how you’ll be missed!
I’ll forever listen for whispers in the wind, and remember your beautiful face, encouraging words and loving ways.

The past several years you’ve really been a light in my life a person I can count on to brighten my day when we text each other

I am so happy that my son could meet Aunt Diana. I will always remember how her, Armando and family made us feel at home. They waited on us and I didn’t think that would be the last time I would see her. Prayers especially for my Uncle who has lost his lifelong companion. Love you all!
