Carolyn, I just saw Doug's obituary online. We have been gone so much and out of touch with the goings on in town, I'm so sorry to have missed this past year. So much love to you and thinking of you. This is a very tough time and know that there are so many people in Taos and around that are wishing you well. Our condolences. Catherine Long and Glen Dickerson

We often saw Doug And Carolyn at the many events that they were so helpful in making them a successl. We spoke often and never heard a negative comment about anything he was experiencing. His photos were an insight into his view of the worked and thought it was such a great treat to travel with him to the many places he visited through his photos. I cannot say I knew him on a real personal level but feel privileged to have met a man, that as a Dr., probably had a powerful and healing affect on many throughout his esteemed career. To Carolyn and the rest of his family, our sincerest condolences and may his light carry on through you.

I worked with Dr. Smith at HCH. I want to express my deepest sympathies. I already missed him since he "retired", but more so now.
