Dr. Jack R. Paule

Biography

Dr. Jack R. Paule, age 80 of El Valle de Arroyo Seco, NM. died peacefully on January 13, 2011 in Santa Fe. He owned and operated Yucca Veterinary Clinic for many years, was a USDA meat inspector-Pathologist, before retiring. He was a lieutenant with The United States Navy during the Korean conflict, and was an avid Amateur "HAM" radio operator through The US Navy MARS, was proficient in Morse Code, and helped to co-ordinate details during the Sierra Grande fire in Los Alamos, and also communicating important information to neccessary family members through other HAM radio operators throughout the world. He was preceded in death by his son Jack R. Paule, Jr. and is survived by his wife M. June Paule US. Navy Nurse Corps, daughter Jeanne Paule and husband Jim Whitworth, Julie Lee and husband Wade, Grandchildren; Jason, Stefanie, Jennifer, James, and James TR. great grandson Jameson Whitworth as well as other relatives. A private family gathering will be held on February 7th at 9:30 am at the National Cemetery for a comittal service with military honors by The United States Navy, no public services are planned.

Jeanne, Please accept my condolence on the passing of your father. He and I were members of a scout troop that met at the Methodist Church in Carondelet, a South St. Louis neighborhood. In 1949, when I came home on leave after completing the US Marine Corps Radio Operators School, Jack invited me over to try out his rig, which was a surplus tank radio. I sent a few CQ's in CW (Morse code), but no one responded. What a great memory that is. I went from there to Korea and we lost touch.
