Biography


Elton Lee Moy, 60, long time resident of Taos for 18 years passed away on April 28, 2015. He was born in 1954 in Kenedy, TX , grew up in Karnes City and attended college and graduated from Del Mar Jr. College with a degree in Restaurant Management, Salesmanship and Marketing and Data Processing. Remodeled and reopened Fossatis Restaurant in Victoria, TX, the oldest restaurant in Victoria (over 100 years). He moved on to manage several restaurants, to name a few, Pelicans Warf, Uncle Harrys, Padre Island Country Club, Polaks Sawsage Farm, Green Diamond, Kangaroo Court, Big Ben, he also opened his own sandwich shop, Crosswalk Deli, across from the Alamo in San Antonio, while operating the Deli, the homeless always knew where they could get a free meal, he sold the business and relocated to Taos, NM, where he managed and catered at the Hacienda del Sol B&B, Taos Inn, La Posada B&B, along with managing he catered to many movies for Film Making. He was on the Board of Directors for Dream Tree Project Inc. He bought and operated rental property and purchased and operated a farm in Colorado. He is preceded in death by his father, Leon D. Moy and his nephew, Merrill Thomas Moy Jr. He is survived by his mother, Cecelia Teresa Moy, sister, Joyce Moy Wiatrek and husband, Kenny, their children, Clint, Rachelle, Luke, Mynier, Kenny, wife, Julia, Jimmy, wife, Jenette, children, Stella and Reese, brother, Merrill T. Moy and wife, Marji, their children, Maura, Christi, Tamara Renne, husband, Bryan, their children, Abilene and Watson, Lara Beth Siltala, husband, Jeremy, son, Lincoln, Catherine Landgrebe, husband, Andy, son, Zander, sister, Melinda Kay Stulting, husband, Howard Jr., their children, Cody Stulting, wife, Amy, children, Blake and Reagan, Chelsey, husband, Clay, Chase Stulting and wife, Ashley, children, Bexley and Jaxton, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends in Texas, Colorado and New Mexico.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dream Tree Project, 128 La Posta Road, Taos, NM 87571, phone # 575-758-9595.
