Erica Nicole Montoya, 33, resident of Albuquerque, NM suddenly passed away on May 03, 2021. She was born on June 27, 1987 in Santa Fe, NM to Catherine Smith and John Montoya. She is preceded in death by her grandfather; Kenneth Smith Sr., great grandmother; Ophelia Smith, great grandfather; Howard Smith, grandmother; Theresa Montoya and aunt; Roberta Payne. She is survived by her mother; Catherine Smith, son; Diavian Jiovanni Montoya, grandmother; Sophie Smith (Andrew), aunt; Denise Vigil (Joe), uncle; Kenneth Smith Jr., aunt; Isabel Baca (George), father; John Montoya, stepmother; Jan Montoya; grandfather; Antonio (Tony) Montoya, sisters; Dionicia & Jadyn Montoya, brothers; Bennie, Julian and Gabriel Montoya, Jennifer Gonzales (Demetrio) Sister(cousin), Christina Artalejo Stepsister, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Erica was a Realty Leasing Specialist. Erica was an amazing Mom and loved her son Diavian very much. She would do anything for him. Erica always looked out for the underdog, she was loving, highly creative, warm hearted and always wanting to help others. She was an amazing chef and enjoyed cooking. She had a contagious smile and no matter what was going on she never complained. She was adventurous, goofy and a free-spirited person. She loved her family very much and she will be dearly missed.

NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144 followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens located at 417 E. Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505 on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
